Cookie Policy

Draft for legal review — this text has not yet been approved by counsel.

This Cookie Policy explains how OIQ uses cookies and similar technologies on its public website and platform.

We follow an essential-cookies-only approach. The public website does not use cookies for advertising, behavioral profiling, or third-party analytics.

1. Public Website

The public website does not set analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

We may collect limited page-view statistics without using cookies. For this purpose, we use a daily rotating, non-reversible identifier designed to provide aggregate website usage statistics without identifying or persistently tracking individual visitors.

We also respect applicable Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where technically supported and applicable.

2. Strictly Necessary Platform Cookies

When you sign in to our platform, we may use strictly necessary cookies to:

  • maintain your authenticated session;
  • keep you securely signed in;
  • protect the platform against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and similar security threats; and
  • maintain the security and proper functioning of the platform.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the relevant platform functions and are not used for advertising, behavioral profiling, or analytics.

Where technically applicable, these cookies are configured with appropriate security attributes, such as Secure, HttpOnly, and appropriate SameSite settings, to reduce security risks.

They expire when the relevant session ends or in accordance with the applicable inactivity or session-expiration settings.

Because these cookies are necessary for authentication and security, they cannot be disabled while using the functions that depend on them.

3. Third-Party Security Services

We may use Cloudflare Turnstile on selected forms to protect against spam, abuse, and automated submissions.

Turnstile operates by processing certain browser, device, and technical signals to assess whether an interaction is likely to be generated by a human or an automated system. Cloudflare describes Turnstile as a CAPTCHA alternative that performs client-side checks and generates a verification token that is validated by the website's server.

Turnstile is used solely for security and abuse prevention and is not deployed by us for advertising or behavioral analytics.

Depending on the configuration and security features enabled, Cloudflare may use cookies or other technical mechanisms. For example, Cloudflare documents that certain clearance cookies may be used in particular configurations, while Turnstile can also use short-lived, non-cookie ephemeral identifiers.

Where applicable, additional information regarding Cloudflare's processing is available through Cloudflare's applicable privacy documentation.

4. No Non-Essential Cookies

We do not use cookies for:

  • targeted or behavioral advertising;
  • selling or sharing information for advertising purposes;
  • cross-site behavioral tracking;
  • persistent marketing profiles; or
  • third-party analytics cookies.

If this changes in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and implement any consent or other privacy controls required by applicable law before deploying non-essential cookies where such consent is required.

5. Managing Cookies

You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using certain secure platform functions.

6. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our technology, security practices, legal requirements, or services.

The latest version will be published on this page with the applicable Last Updated date.

7. Contact and Privacy Information
